		<description>I remember 9..Qa5 was the main line when I used to play this ..in the seventies! And I think it&#039;s better than ..Qc7 though not that much better. Maybe the queen was a bit passive on b8. I thought you might try a plan of something like ..a6, ..b5 and Bb7 putting pressure on e4, though I wasn&#039;t sure of the timing. Nice game, though.
I was looking at the positions in your Board 2 game [&lt;em&gt;referring to our league match, we drew 3 and won 1 - Dave&lt;/em&gt;], the one you won..I thought at the time Black shouldn&#039;t have played..Qb1+ near the end, as his queen was needed to defend the king, but actually it was correct, just followed up wrong (I&#039;m assuming you remember the position). The error was the next move, Qd1, leaving f6 fatally unguarded. He should have gone ..Qxb2, with a nasty threat of Qb7+ and lots of winning endgames in view.</description>
