And I think it's better than ..Qc7 though not that much better. Maybe the queen was a bit passive on b8. I thought you might try a plan of something like ..a6, ..b5 and Bb7 putting pressure on e4, though I wasn't sure of the timing. Nice game, though. I was looking at the positions in your Board 2 game [<em>referring to our league match, we drew 3 and won 1 - Dave</em>], the one you won..I thought at the time Black shouldn't have played..Qb1+ near the end, as his queen was needed to defend the king, but actually it was correct, just followed up wrong (I'm assuming you remember the position). The error was the next move, Qd1, leaving f6 fatally unguarded. He should have gone ..Qxb2, with a nasty threat of Qb7+ and lots of winning endgames in view.
